Last blog post I shared a bit about what a "zine" is and some ideas to get you started on making one. Well, last December I decided to make one zine each day for the entire month. What I ended up with was thirty-one little zines of drawings that I made while I was traveling. Earlier this month I gathered up the drawings and put them in a collection that quickly became this book!
In December 2016, I embarked on a zine making challenge. For thirty-one days I made a one-page, 8.5" x 11", zine comprised of about six drawings that highlight certain moments of that day. At the end of the month, I ended up with about 200 small drawings and 31 paper zines. This book is the final step of the project, where I have brought together each and every drawing from those thirty one days of December 2016. Part illustrated diary, this zine challenge shows us that each day of our lives tell a story. From mundane acts to exciting memories, there's a lived moment that can mean a whole lot more than we thought.
